After success with Arroyo Grande in the Quickprint Wagga Maiden (1400m), jockey Carly Frater-Hill almost made it a race-to-race double for the stable, only for Sunwisp just to fall short.
But Agrionius’ success in the Chamberlains SBR handicap (for jockey Brock Ryan) made up for it.
“For a little stable, four racing, I think I've had a good day,” Wiggins said.
Agrionius ($7) settled midfield before being called on by Ryan in the straight and scoring narrowly from Albury galloper Overdue.
“He’s a nice little stayer in the making,” Wiggins said.
Agrionius was stepping up from a benchmark 52 win at Moruya to a BM65.
“I might give him a little break and I want to come to Wagga at carnival time… there’s lots of beautiful races around, and the same for Arroyo Grande.”
