Officers issued the venue with a noise abatement order on Thursday after discovering lights and music had been moved from the permitted indoor function room to the front bar, breaching guidelines and disturbing nearby residents.
Detective Inspector Darren Cloake said the licensee was warned and advised to address the issue, but failed to do so.
About 12.25am on Saturday morning, police issued a noise abatement direction, prohibiting the venue from playing music until March 26.
“The following night there was another complaint and police arrived to discover doors that were supposed to be locked air-tight were wide open,” he said.
“Residents on Peter Street reported the noise disturbance several times.”
Beer Deluxe will remain open, but its nightclub has been closed down by the order.
