Sitting without cover for the majority of the race, Brallos Pass justified his $1.50 favourtism with a 9.1-metre win.
Clocking a mile rate of 2:03.1, he defeated another Victorian visitor Dynamic Bromac.
West Wyalong trainer Michael Souden finished third with Coola Bar Boy.
Kyabram tainer Mark Watson was once again happy with his multiple Group One placgetter.
“He went good,” Watson said.
“I was very pleased and he was strong at the end.
“He’s pulled up good as well.”
Watson said driver Ellen Tormey thought the four-year-old still had a good kick left.
Brallos Pass, who was second in the Group One Bonanza three starts ago, has already been nominated for the Group Three Wagga Pacers Cup on Saturday night.
However, Watson expects to face a tougher field this time around.
“I’ve already nominated him for the cup but I think it will be another step up,” he said.
“It depends on what horses come from Sydney.”
The prizemoney for this year’s feature has doubled to $30,000, giving the race Group Three status.
There is also no Menangle meeting on Saturday which could attract more visitors for the Carnival Of Cups feature.
The fields are set to be released on Monday afternoon.
