The team in green was a runaway winner courtesy of a host of standout performances, including from Rhyce Waters.
“Oodgeroo won by a fair margin, 130 points,” carnival coordinator Kurt McPherson said.
“They had five age champions from the one house so that was an outstanding effort by them.”
Others to shine included Milli Gentle from Teresa house.
The school’s focus though, like most, is encouraging the non-competitive events.
With a high participation rate from the 800 students, the evening carnival remains a smash hit.
“They’re a fabulous way to get the kids’ parents down there – it’s a good evening and a joyous atmosphere,” McPherson said.
“And it’s obviously sun-safe as well.”
