A TOLLAND brawl allegedly involving more than 100 people on Sunday was sparked by a dispute between two local families, police claim.

Officers were called to Raye Street about 4pm to quell the crowd and separate a number of abusive adults.
Detective Inspector Darren Cloake revealed several of the family names were well known to police.
“There was in excess of 100 people involved in various degrees of confrontation,” he said.
“Police recognised a number of these individuals.”
