Australian-owned investment firm Blue River Group acquired Riverina Fresh in August from the world’s biggest dairy exporter, Fonterra.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will announce the dairy is to feature a world-class agricultural and food technology hub for testing and commercialisation of ideas by researchers and entrepreneurs.
“We believe that access to the benefits of new technologies and ideas will encourage the next generation of farming families to remain on the land,” Blue River Group co-CEO Grant Fuzi said.
The dairy will also showcase “Israel’s leading dairy and agricultural technology”.
Mr Turnbull’s announcement will align with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Australia.
The commercial farm will double as an education centre in line with BlueRiver Group’s “profit with purpose” mantra.
