Chasing 135 for victory, St Michaels made light work of the Bulldogs’ target and passed the total four wickets down and with 34 balls to spare.
Tom Byrnes led the Saints’ charge with an unbeaten 47, while Ryan Forysth (26), Jordan Lawrence (22) and Kyle Buckley (10 not out) all made helpful contributions.
The win keeps St Michaels on top of the Wagga cricket ladder and sets up an interesting showdown with South Wagga in next weekend’s final round.
Wagga RSL were all out in the 40th over, courtesy of an even contribution from the Saints’ bowling attack.
Lawrence and Aiden Ridley both grabbed three wickets, while Jack Reynolds returned an impressive 2-20 from his eight overs.
Ethan Perry top scored for the Bulldogs with 31, while Jimmy Richards (24) and Neil Morton (20) both helped.
