The ‘Hogs for the Homeless Tour’ includes Nathan Hindmarsh, Danny Buderus, Steve Menzies, Kerry Hemsley, Josh Perry, Paul Sironen, Steve Roach, Tim Brasher and Ian Schubert.
They’ll roll into town on Harley Davidsons and head to Parramore Park from 12.30pm to watch the all-girls Oak Plus Cup nines (U14 and U16) as well as hold a coaching clinic and women’s tackling session.
There will also be a fundraising dinner on Saturday night at the William Farrer Hotel, run by another former league star David Barnhill.
The ‘Hogs for the Homeless Tour’ is the brainchild of Fittler who is trying to raise junior rugby league membership and funds for Father Chris Riley’s Youth off the Streets charity organisation.
The riders will cover more than 4000km in 11 days making stops in 14 country towns, delivering a rugby league ball to children along the way.
Hogs For The Homeless has raised more than $450,000 for Youth off the Streets since 2013.
