Wagga High used the twilight timeslot to advantage at Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre, as the school community got right behind their carnival.
Wagga High School relieving principal Tania Maddison could not have been happier with how it all unfolded.
“We always have a really high participation rate so that was no different,” Maddison said.
“We had 800 kids at the carnival so it was an amazing organisational effort. Our PE staff do that and it’s amazing how well organised everything is and how well it runs.”
A highlight of the carnival was the traditional water polo game between staff and year 12 students. Maddison took great delight in revealing that staff were again victors.
“As usual, staff won, so that was even better,” she said with a laugh.
Wagga High is confident it will send a strong team to the upcoming regional level carnival.
