For the first time ever, Wagga will have three dedicated news bulletins – leaving no stone unturned or story undiscovered across the region.
Former Prime7 reporter Priscilla Moca said the team was ready and eager to broadcast its bulletin for the first time on Monday, February 27. The now chief of staff said it was exciting to be part of building a station from the ground up.
“There’s a real opportunity for growth,” Ms Moca said. “It’s been phenomenal seeing the enthusiasm.”
Reporter Grace Fitzgibbon said she was ready to become an expert on Wagga.
Having grown up in Cessnock, Ms Fitzgibbon described herself as a country girl who was delighted to return to the country.
“Everyone’s been really so supportive here,” Ms Fitzgibbon said. “It just feels like home to me already.”
With roots in Tumut, Mimi Becker said she was looking forward to getting back out and among people after working for three years as a news producer for Nine in Sydney.
“I think the best part is you’re able to be a part of the community and report on the community because then you genuinely care about the stories your reporting,” Ms Becker said. “We’re giving Wagga as much exposure as possible.”
