The Eagles will welcome Hutton to Narrandera in March and are hopeful of landing a couple more signings in coming weeks.
Hutton is a representative midfielder from Western Australia’s North Midland competition and arrives at Narrandera through his connection with fellow Sandgroper Paul Broad.
Hutton is regarded as one of the competition’s premier midfielder and was best-on-ground in Morawa’s 2011 premiership win.
He was in Morawa’s best on eight occasions last year.
New Narrandera captain-coach Jarred Lane is confident Hutton will be a great addition to the club.
“By all reports he’s pretty handy,” Lane said.
“He’s one of Broady’s mates and he has fit in really well.
“He’s a likeable fella from all reports and a pretty handy footballer as well, so it’s a good package for us. That’s what it’s all about, getting the right blokes to help make the club stronger.”
Narrandera only won the two games last season.
The club identified the need to add quality through the midfield and are happy to have welcomed Hutton to their ranks.
“He’s another midfielder, which is what we desperately need,” Lane said.
“A bit of experience through the midfield will be handy.”
Already this off-season, former coach Tim Sullivan has moved on, as well as quality ruckman Lachie Hunter and speedster Brent Rose.
The Eagles however have bounced back with the return of premiership captain Wes Kiley and ruckman Phil Aumann.
Youngster Joe Grinter has also come on board from Farrer League club Northern Jets.
Lane is hopeful the Eagles will be in a position to announce further recruits in coming weeks.
While the remainder of Riverina League clubs are virtually finished their recruitment, Narrandera are still busy chasing players.
“We’re fairly confident we’ll get a couple more blokes,’ Lane said.
“We’ve been working on them for a while and things are starting to settle down again now.”
The Eagles have been back training after the Christmas break with good numbers.
They have locked in the one pre-season trial game to date, against Hume League club Billabong Crows on March 18.
