It coincides with a Wagga Police sting which involves posting pictures of wanted criminals on social media and a host of extra officers.
The pamphlets recommend residents take measures to protect their homes against break and enters, such as installing alarm systems and making lists of valuable items.
Wagga Neighbourhood Watch president Wayne Deaner said the pamphlet drop doubled as an attempt to extend the group’s reach beyond social media.
“There are a lot of people who like Facebook, but a lot of people hate it or don’t have it at all,” he said.
“We’re also working on launching a web page, newsletter and email service.”
The group plans to continue ramping up its community awareness efforts, but is in dire need of additional members. Residents wishing to help can contact Mr Deaner at rivact@outlook.com.
