The under 16s team went through undefeated at Newcastle to claim the region’s first win in the tournament.
The final match was a battle of the two undefeated teams through first three rounds.
Riverina got off to the perfect start with Wagga City’s Max Harper taking a wicket in the first over.
He and South Wagga’s Darcy Irvine both took two wickets as Illawarra were bowled out for 92.
Riverina had some nervous moments in the chase, slipping to 5-63, before Albury’s Eddie Keogh (24 not out) and Griffith’s Dean Bennett (16 not out) combined for a 22-run partnership.
