Donnelly will have two runners at Wagga on Tuesday, where he has renewed confidence after walking the track on Monday.

Racing returns to the course proper after a short absence, where one meeting was transferred to the Riverside track.

Donnelly expects Fracking to run a good race in the XXXX Gold Benchmark 60 Handicap (2000m) after a close up third at Canberra last start.

“He gets up to a distance that suits now,” Donnelly said.

“If there’s no disadvantage in getting back then I think he’ll run a great race.”

Donnelly gave the Wagga track the tick of approval on Monday.

“it’s beautiful. With the rail out nine metres, it’s fantastic. There is no wear on it, really good crass cover and it’s back to it’s normal self,” he said.

Donnelly’s other runner on the seven-race card is Angus Rock, who will carry 61.5 kilograms when he steps up to the mile for the first time in the Golden View Marquee Benchmark 55 Handicap (1600m).

“It’s a high enough weight but the 1600 is the query for mine,” he said.

“It’s got my doubts on it, 1400 would have been ideal but Mat Cahil is riding unbelievably at the moment so we’ll see how we go.”

Cahill rides both horses.
