In a paddock in the middle of a property in Oura is arguably one of the region’s most unique places to stay.
Brooke Brunskill started with just a tent in a paddock and has since developed Oura Tipi Stays.
The ultimate “glamping” (glamorous camping) experience, the waterproof tipi is seven metres in diameter and four metres high and features a double bed, power, lights and welcome hamper of Riverina produce.
“Glamping is a big trend at the moment,” Miss Brunskill said.
“When you’re inside the tipi, it’s cool, there’s a calming effect about it.”
Miss Brunskill has listed the tipi on her family’s property on accommodation site Airbnb and is getting interest from visitors and locals.
“It’s really new to me so I’m open to anything at the moment,” she said.
The site is also available to use as a honeymoon retreat.
Wagga mothers seeking a getaway for a night and travellers through the region have visited so far.
More photos of the tipi can be seen on Instagram at ‘Oura Tipi Stays’.
