The exhibit was in Wagga for six week from early December until last week and visitors were asked to vote on their favourite piece from the selection.
Artist Nick Stathopoulos’s portrait of Sudanese refugee, advocate and lawyer, Deng Adut, was their choice.
Deng was also selected as the people’s choice winner at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney and Art Gallery of Ballarat.
