The Kangaroos are determined to return to the top of the Farrer League next year and the addition of Grintell and Ambler make it six signings for 2017.
Grintell joins Temora after a season at Coolamon and has signed as assistant coach, while Ambler is a premiership player at Collingullie-Glenfield Park.
Grintell, 26, said the opportunity to take on a coaching role combined with Luke Gerhard’s move back to Temora were the main reasons behind his decision.
“I was going to Coolamon but then a good mate, Luke Gerhard, left and it made me change my mind,” Grintell said.
“I approached (Temora) really...and they came up with the assistant coaching role.
“I’m looking forward to it. In years to come I want to be a playing coach so this is a step to bigger and better things.”
New Temora captain-coach Jake Wooden is pleased to welcome more experience to the club.
“The thing with Chase, he can play anywhere to be honest. Brayden is pretty similar in that they can both play through the midfield, up forward or down back,” Wooden said.
“It’s great to have that flexibility in the team.”
The addition of Grintell and Ambler comes after the Canberra-based Kane Peeters re-signed for another season.
Temora have now added six players and lost just two.
They will also be boosted by the return of key forward Matt Harpley from injury.
