Wagga’s junior cricketers dominate the under 14 and under 16 Riverina representative teams following a successful three days of playing Northern Riverina in Barooga this week.

Six players, Sam McCready, Sam Stening, Blake Walker, Kai Watts, Josh Mills and Connor Willis, have been selected to play in the under 14s Kookaburra Cup.
Five players, Max Harper, Darcy Irvine, Harry Rosengren, Blake Harper and Josh Staines, have been picked in the under 16s Bradman Cup team.
Staines has been chosen to captain the team.
Both tournaments will be played next month.
The under 16s broke a seven-year drought as they went through the tournament at Barooga undefeated.
They scored wins over Cricket Albury-Wodonga, Southern Riverina and Murrumbidgee on the way to the title.
Blake Harper was named player of the tournament.
It was the first time Wagga has won since 2009-10.
The under 14s narrowly missed out on taking out the title as well.
The finished one wicket short of Southern Riverina on quotient.
After two wins from the three matches, including a win over Southern, there was quotient was 0.1 less.
Under 16s coach Craig Footman thought having the new elite program was a reason behind the strong performances, giving players more opportunities to train together in preparation.
