Nominations have already opened for the popular pre-season tournament that will this year offer record prizemoney of almost $15,000.
The West Wyalong Knockout will be held over Friday and Saturday, February 24-25, next year and already six of the 16 places have been booked.
Group Nine clubs Southcity, Kangaroos and Young have already secured a start alongside host Group 20 club West Wyalong.
Group 11 visitors Forbes and Group 10 club Bathurst St Pats have also been quick to grab their place.
Cobar, who play in the Barwon Darling League, are expected to be the seventh team involved in coming days.
Long-serving West Wyalong Knockout official Peter Campbell encouraged interested clubs to get in quick.
“The organisers already have six confirmed entries with another on the way,” Campbell said.
“Experience has shown that the 16 team draw is often full by mid January.”
Courtesy of the ‘dramatic’ prizemoney increase, the winners of the 2017 event will take home a ‘massive’ $10,000, with the runners up pocketing $2500.
Clubs wanting to enter can get entry packages by contacting the West Wyalong committee at malleemen@hotmail.com, or phone Peter Campbell on 0427314034.
