Hundreds of Wagga residents attend The Daily Advertiser concert

HUNDREDS of Wagga residents strolled through the Victory Memorial Gardens on Friday for a teaser of Wagga Live’s New Year’s Eve bonanza.

Darren Coggan made his long-awaited return to the city during The Daily Advertiser sponsored free midday concert.

Perhaps the most attention-grabbing attraction at the event was the presence of a 25-foot tall inflatable duck, which captivated on-lookers.

Turvey Park’s Nicole Leigh, who brought her two children to the launch, said she was looking forward to her kids’ first New Year’s celebrations.

“For everything that is said about the council, they do an amazing job bringing this together,” she said.

Wagga Live will be brought together by Committee 4 Wagga, McDonalds and Wagga City Council.
