WAGGA diners will have a short drive to find the state’s greatest outdoor dining experience after the Kooringal Hotel earned the prestigious gong at the AHA awards on Tuesday.

The venue, which was renovated in early 2014, received glowing reviews for its warm and inviting outdoor setup complete with awnings.

It was one of 11 category winners across New South Wales.

General manager of the hotel Amy Fealy said her staff were extremely proud to rank as finalists in six separate categories.

“We are so proud of all of our staff who rise above and beyond in all aspects within the hotel,” she said.

“We are also thankful for all of our patrons, new and old, who make all of this possible.

“It’s an amazing accomplishment.”
