Sharks too good for High Icues in Wagga Pennants doubles handicap final

CHAMPIONS: Mike McCall and Peter Raczkowski took out the Wagga snooker doubles grand final at Wagga RSL Club on Tuesday night.

EXPERIENCED snooker duo Mike McCall and Peter Raczkowski have claimed the Wagga Pennants doubles handicap final.

McCall and Raczkowski’s Sharks team lived up to their final with a 3-1 victory over Christian De Camps and Iain Boyton’s High Icues at the Wagga RSL Club on Tuesday night.

McCall and Raczkowski went into the final as favourites after finishing on top of the nine-team competition after the 18 rounds.

High Icues have made it through to the decider from fourth spot.

Raczkowski won his two games with a 53-45 victory over Boyton, then a 94-48 over De Camps.

De Camps got High Icues their one victory with a 93-48 win over McCall.

McCall then sealed the win in the fourth game, beating Boyton 61-27.

A new competition will get underway in February next year.
