After finishing second in last month’s final, the experienced Yanco trainer went one better with Gotta Bewitched on Saturday night.
Drawing barrier one, the mare ended up behind leader Valla Swan after a lightning fast first quarter, but still found plenty in the end to win in 1:53.7.
Eurell was thrilled with the effort to take out the Listed final worth $26,000.
“She did an excellent job,” Eurell said.
“To do it at both ends – not many do it.
“She got out fast out of the gate and still hit the line hard..
“The race was suit her, getting a good trail along, but she still had to finish off”
The win was the four-year-old’s mare 10th from 24 starts for Eurell and she has only finished outside the placings on three occasions.
“She has a been a good little mare for the owners and for my stable,” he said.
