Students from more than 25 Riverina public and high schools converged on the QUDOS Bank Arena in Olympic Park to claim a Guinness World Record for the largest ever amateur variety act during the annual Schools Spectacular.
With the theme Dream Big, this year’s event will feature a 2700-strong choir, 2300 diverse dancers, an 80-piece symphony orchestra, a world-class stage band and a huge number of outstanding solo performances.
Wagga High School students will be among those to participate.
Year 12 student Olivia Schutte, who recently finished exams, said it was “a huge honour” to land a role in the prestigious core choir.
