For about 30 years, Mrs Bootes has shared her faith and the true meaning of Christmas with tinsel, lights and dozens of displays she has made by hand throughout the years.
“I had in mind one day that I wanted to do something,” Mrs Bootes said.
“Just something simple to show my faith.”
The Bootes’ moved into their Edmondson Street home 46 years ago and this year more than 20 family members pitched in to put up the displays.
“I made most of it myself,” Mrs Bootes said.
“I love art and every year I do a spray and a touch-up.”
A couple of health scares this year weren’t enough to put the family off, but Mrs Bootes admitted she’d had the help of younger family members for a few years.
