NSW Clay Target Association (NSWCTA) will host the state skeet carnival at Wagga’s National Shooting Grounds on Tasman Road on Saturday and Sunday.
The original carnival was set to be held in Wagga in August but was postponed to this weekend due to wet weather.
The numbers for the carnival have taken a hit due to the postponement but NSWCTA championships committee member Janene Schiller said the lower numbers will not impact on the quality of competition.
“Due to the change in date, a number of entries have withdrawn,” Schiller said.
“Many of those originally attending are unable to attend due to their attendance at the New Zealand Skeet National Championships.
“The quality of competitor will still be there and will not impact on the significance of the event within the skeet circles.”
