The recent acquisition to the kennel won at Coonamble last time out and has drawn box eight.
He is hoping for some luck at the start for her first attempt over the 400 metres at Wagga.
Ellis thought the heats were a good initiative by the club.
“They are a great idea to get people out of Wagga and head to Canberra, as the track in Canberra is a beautiful track,” Ellis said.
Wagga previously had a relationship with Bulli and asked Canberra if they were interested in creating a similar link.
Wagga racing manager John Patton believes the move creates wider interest in racing at Wagga.
The $1000 to the winner final will be held on November 6.
