Bone featured prominently in Wagga United’s minor semi-final, playing with flair to revive the squad’s attack, and ensuring his team remained in contention until extra time, when Tolland scored and progressed through.
Crows’ coach David McGowan gladly took-on Bone and two other RAAF members Luke Galvin and Tavaziva Chipere, and will reluctantly let them go, as they’re posted elsewhere in December.
“It was like they’d been there for years,” McGowan said.
“Hopefully we get some more RAAFies coming in.”
