The North Albury team of Darren Renner and Mark Mulchay has taken out a wind affected Coca Cola three bowl pairs event at Wagga RSL Club this weekend.

Strong, gusty winds make it hard work on the opening day’s action.
While no team went through undefeated, Renner and Mulchay finished with six wins at plus 57 ends to come out on top.
Christian Morgan and Ian Williams were next best with five one, a draw and plus 37.
RSL’s David Inglis and Chris Cooney finished third on five wins and plus 34.
Rules Club combination David Streher and Josh Hetherington were the next best with five wins and 29.
Men’s club president Max Sanbrook was pleased to have a capacity 26 teams competing.
“It all went really well apart from the wind (on Saturday),” Sanbrook said.
The event was the fifth in the club Springtime Festival of Bowls.

The final leg, the Clarrie and Barbara Inglis mixed three bowl pairs will be held on Saturday.
The field will be competing for $1100 in prizemoney, with entries closing on Monday.
