Lake Albert Public School’s inaugural Colour the Lake event saw around 800 participants running between five stations where they were showered with coloured powder.
Lake Albert P&C secretary Lisa Trevaskis said the Dye Hard Fun Run inspired the idea.
“A few of us had done that and thought it was good fundraising concept for our school.
“So we started planning it in about February or March, it has taken a good six months of planning.”
The Lake Albert Rural Fire Brigade was on hand to provide first aid and hose down participants.
Money raised will go towards laptops and iPads to inject more technology into the school’s classrooms.
