It is the fourth leg of of the festival and the two-day event carries $2200 in prizemoney and will see seven games of 16 ends played.
The final event is the Clarrie and Barbara Inglis mixed three bowl pairs the following Saturday.
Meanwhile, 52 members attended the men’s club annual general meeting last Sunday.
Max Sanbrook was re elected unopposed as president for a seventh term.
A three-way ballot took place for the positions of senior and junior vice presidents between Terry Sellars, Tony Christie and Trevor Urquhart.
Sellars was declared senior vice president with Tony Christie as junior.
Ian Williams was elected to the position of secretary while Reg Hamilton was returned for his fourth term as treasurer.
David Inglis, Brian Lawrence and John Swaffield were returned as Pennant selectors with Lawrence returned as publicity officer for a fourth term.
The position of social bowls organiser was not filled with an appointment to be made at a later date.
The club also introduced a new graded and blind fours event for November 26 and 27.
