WAGGA triathlete Brad Kahlefeldt and fiancée Radka Vodickova have both enjoyed victories in China.

Kahlefeldt bounced back from illness to win the Hefei 70.3 Ironman in front of a huge crowd.

After spending time on the sidelines recently with pneumonia, Kahlefeldt bounced back with a strong victory in his first race back.

The day only got better as Vodickova took out the women’s event.

Kahlefeldt said it was a great experience in front of the big crowds in China.

“Radka won also so it was a great day out,” Kahlefeldt said.

“It was a nice race. Huge crowds and over 15,000 marshals on the entire course.”

Kahlefeldt will now compete in the Challenge Thailand on Sunday before returning to Australia.
