“You often don’t realise it is bad for people that have cancer, it’s also very hard for the people’s loved ones,” Mrs Bellamy said.

“Having the Pink Ribbon Day Out, it will be a nice relief and a good thing for the community.”

The Pink Ribbon Day Out will be held on Sunday, October 23 from 12pm to 4pm at Downside Hall.

The family fun day will include a barbecue lunch and live music, with a gold coin entry fee going towards breast cancer relief and research.
