Hopper took out the 2016 Rising Star Award at the Giants’ presentation night last Friday.
Fellow Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA) product Zac Williams also performed strongly and finished seventh in the Giants’ best and fairest.
Williams polled 129 votes to finish just 22 behind winner Toby Greene.
Collingullie footballer Harry Perryman was named the 2016 Giants Academy Player of the Year on the night also.
