Kruger has been busy finalising a squad since winning the premiership in September and has already secured a 34-man playing list to work with.
"We had 30 players this year and 25 of them had re-signed before the start of the finals series," Kruger said.
"We have ticked the other five off since then and we want to add five new players to that list for next season."
Temora has already added four players to the first-grade list.
Matt Turner and Josh Breust have been promoted from reserve grade and will push for a spot in the top team next season.
Both can play as a key position forward and Turner earned the promotion by winning the club's reserves best and fairest award this year.
Jason Reid has also signed on to play with the Kangaroos in 2013.
Reid played in the Canberra AFL this year but will return to join older brother Adam at his old club.
Teenage ruckman Sam Broomby will also return to his hometown, crossing over from West Wyalong to join the Kangaroos.
"Sam is a good investment player for us, I reckon he will become a really good footballer," Kruger said.
"We had the best ruckman in the comp (Chris Stacey) this year but we didn't have much under him, and Sam will give us that second option.
"From what I've heard, Jason is a really handy footballer.
"All we need is to sign this one more guy and we will have our full list for next season."
Kruger revealed he is chasing the signature of a good midfielder from South Australia who he expects to sign on within the month.
Kruger himself agreed to extend his two-year coaching contract this week.
He will now coach the Kangaroos until the end of season 2014, with the option of going again in 2015.
"With such a young group like this my aim was really to build the team up and make 2013 our premiership year," he said.
"We did that this year, but I still want to stick around and work with this group over the next two years.
"I'm absolutely rapt to sign for another year."
Temora will start pre-season later this year, Kruger aiming to begin in January to allow his players to enjoy a couple of months off after the premiership.
