The train remains stranded on the tracks to the east of the burst dam.
The Australian Rail Track Corporation is assessing the situation to determine when and how the train will be moved.
Thursday, October 6
A run-off dam at Manildra Meat abattoir has burst, sending water spilling across paddocks towards Cootamundra.
Initial reports suggest the dam did not overflow but that the dam wall was breached.
Water partly washed away rail lines to the east of the abattoir, a train is currently stranded on the tracks.
The SES has said the water poses no flood threat to Cootamundra.
Council have closed roads in the area and are monitoring the situation.
Police are also at the scene and have no major safety concerns.
