A single official opening of the centres was held at Junee this week by Member for Cootamundra, Katrina Hodgkinson.
REROC acting chairman, Rick Firman, said the organisation now had 11 community recycling centres (CRC).
“We received more than $700,000 to establish the CRC’s, courtesy of the NSW government,” Councillor Firman said.
The money is part of a $500 million government fund.
Waste from CRCs will be collected by a specialist contractor, paid for by the EPA.
"The importance of providing reasonable access to first class waste and resource recovery facilities has underpinned REROC's work in this area,” Cr Firman said.
"The service will compliment the existing free e-waste recycling program that REROC has implemented across the region.”
Meanwhile, REROC has farewelled a number of members who are n longer in local government.
They include former Temora mayor, Mr Peter Speirs OAM.
Mr Speirs spent some 20 years on the REROC board.
“I know he will be missed by us all", Cr Firman said.
