“It’s the biggest it’s been for a long time,” organiser Mick Marien said.
“All courts are going to be full for the entire tournament.
“We’re very happy.”
160 players will compete for $3,000 in prize-money at Bolton Park this long weekend.
Most players have entered more than one event, with 300 entries in total.
The tournament’s grading has been upgraded to ‘bronze’ in 2016, attracting a stronger pool of players.
Men’s number one seed, Corey Gaal, ranked 97, will travel from Sydney to compete.
Gaal will compete in a field of 51 players for a top prize of $650 in the men’s Australian Money Tournament category.
Women’s number one seed, Monique Burton, ranked 97, will also travel from Sydney.
Burton will compete in a field of 21 women.
Gaal and Burton, in their late teens, will be worth watching now, and in the years to come.
Finals take place on Monday.
With such a jam-packed running sheet, organisers hope the rain forecast for Saturday is light and short-lived.
“We had a bit of rain last year, so we should be right, as long as it stops,” Marien said.
