Not fit for decider
AS BOTH a supporter and spectator of our great game of Aussie rules, I, like others, was a spectator at Robertson Oval for the RFL grand final.

The day, at best, was deplorable.
I found the outer ground area disgraceful.
The oval is far from being spectator friendly and if the powers that be deemed this to be the best ground around, then maybe they should move from their comfort zone and look outside Wagga.
If, as they stated, Narrandera was not suitable for footballers’ safety, then maybe they should have checked out Griffith, which is both spectator and supporter friendly and the playing surface was, if not better, then at least equal to Robertson Oval.
I had for my own satisfaction checked out Narrandera ground and it was in better condition than Ganmain’s ground when they played a final there.
Robertson Oval is the worst spectator ground in the whole of the RFL and even the Farrer League ground that I have been to.
Spectator comfort should be a priority as no spectators, no money in the coffers, and where does that leave the leagues?
And while on the subject of football, maybe more thought should go into who umpires what games.
No umpire with a vested personal interest in a club should umpire in that team's games, even if he or she is classed as the best umpire available.

Hanson makes good point
PAULINE Hanson is certainly drawing some criticism with her views on Muslims coming to this country.
However, we mustn’t forget that in a poll taken just recently, 49 per cent of those surveyed supported her views the government should stop all Muslim immigration.
And for very good reasons.
I don’t like using the words “what if ”, but I will.
What if the Muslim who tried to kill two policemen in Melbourne not so long ago had fronted up to a crowded supermarket instead of attacking the two policemen?
And what if the 15-year-old Muslim youth who callously shot and killed Curtis Cheng at Parramatta had gone into a crowd and started shooting?
And what if the crazed Muslim who just the other day attacked a Minto man walking his dog, had gone to a busy shopping centre?
How many other so-called lone wolves are out there ready to unleash their hatred upon our unsuspecting citizens?
It would be impossible to estimate the number because deputy premier Troy Grant has said vulnerable Muslim youths can be radicalised in a matter of days.
Our federal government has come up with an ingenious plan to rid Australia of terrorism.
Firstly, they are pulling wannabe terrorists off planes trying to leave the country because they are afraid they might be harmed or even killed fighting with Islamic State.
Secondly, they are allowing battle-hardened terrorists to come back home for fear they may become stateless or even worse, they may be suffering from acute home-sickness.
Or perhaps they just need a little R and R while drawing on their disability support pensions?
And thirdly, despite what is happening in other parts of the world where they have large Muslim populations, our government is still flooding the country with refugees/migrants from Islamic countries.
And to think that a lot of people have the notion that our politicians have nothing up top?
However, this astute and well thought out plan certainly dispels any such notion.
So, I say to all of those Hanson detractors – wake up and face reality, because if you don’t, we may, in the not too distant future, be all living under Sharia Law.
