THE WHEELS are in motion for a day of big trucks and even bigger fireworks at the third annual Riverina Truck Show and Kids Convoy on Saturday.

Organisers of the event, which raises money for local charity, hoped to top last year’s event despite the wet weather.
“We are going ahead rain, hail, or shine,” treasurer Lloyd Wishart said.
“Last year we managed to raise $32,000, this year we are hoping for anywhere between $50,000 or $60,000.”
The day will start at 11.30am with a convoy of trucks heading from Bomen along Fitzmaurice Street and through to Lake Albert’s Apex Park via Tarcutta Street.
Family fun will kick off lakeside at the park, with plenty of rides and market stalls, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display on the water at 7.30pm.
