Lake Albert and Cootamundra were drawn 1-1 near the end of the second half, when Durman, as last man, prevented a goal.
The ball slipped past keeper Mitchell Tinnock, and Durman put his body on the line to clear it out, just before it rolled over the goal-line.
“That goal-line clearance was awesome,” Sharks’ skipper Ben Angel said.
“If that went in, they would have definitely had the momentum.”
The game was played predominately in Lake Albert’s half, and the Sharks’ back-line including Durman, Angel, Ben Mavor and Blake Smith were continually under the pump.
The men committed to tackles and won challenges to keep the Sharks afloat.
Durman played as a striker in Lake Albert’s diminished 2015 Pascoe Cup squad, and has excelled in a defensive position this year.
