Saturday’s Aggies Race Day will go ahead as a phantom race meeting.
A track inspection at 6am on Saturday morning confirmed the field was too wet for local races, but MTC chief executive Scott Sanbrook said the event will still be "business as usual" for fun.
“They’ll be no local races but the event will still go ahead as planned,” he said.
Gates open at 12pm on Saturday with more than 5000 racegoers expected to attend.
A fashions on the field exhibition will also feature.
Tickets are $25 per head at the gate and include a drinks discount.
