“I’m not looking forward to this rain,” she said.
“From what I’ve heard, the fields are pretty bad, it will be like playing a weekend round. Let’s hope the rain stops.”
The Henwood Park Hawks’ youngster’s a seasoned senior grand finalist. At 14, she won the Madden Cup, and at just 15 she played, and helped to win a first-grade grand final. She’s glad that coach Rod Buik has given her teammate, Jenny Woodbury, 15, a similar chance.
“We’ve brought up young Jen Woodbury to sit on the bench,” Di Trapani said.
“It will be a good experience for her.”
Di Trapani’s fierce and dependable at right-back, and she loves her role.
Let’s hope the rain stops.

“I like to be able to shut down those balls, to be able to help the centre backs, even doing a one-two up the line with one of the wingers,” she said.
As The Daily Advertiser called on Thursday, she was preparing for training.
“A good training session will help us come out open-minded,” she said.
“We should do a good job.”
Grand final week can be nerve-wracking for some, but not for Di Trapani.
She’s saving her energy for the big dance.
“The nerves haven’t hit me yet, they won’t hit me until Sunday,” she said.
