For the first time in the club’s 12-year year history the Bulls had three teams make it through to the Group Nine grand final.
They started the day off with a bang by winning the Weissel Cup decider and finished on a high by claiming the club’s second first grade premiership.
“I am very proud of the boys,” Porter said after the first grade win.
“They did a great job, especially coming back from 14-0 down.”
Despite the early deficit Porter was still confident they would fight back and they proved him wrong.
“They are a great group of guys, have great self belief and it is all credit to them that they got the job done.
The only negative was the reserve grade loss.
The team led 12-0 before letting in three Gundagai tries in the second half.
“I felt sorry for the reserve grade, they gave it every chance,” Porter said.
