Rachel Trenaman is in the running for the Sydney Thunder rookie position.
Wagga’s Rachel Trenaman, Young’s Bridie Minehan and Hay’s Lily Tassell are among nine women asked to take part of the trials.
It is the second year of the program, which see a male and female rookie selected from within the Thunder’s catchment region.
The trial will be held at Manuka Oval on September 9.
