Children and staff at Wagga Early Years Learning Centre at Turvey Park dressed as their favourite superheroes to raise money and awareness for muscular dystrophy.
“We told them we can all be superheroes by caring for those with disabilities,” educator Cat Walmsley said.
Parents donated a gold coin for their children to dress up and children were so excited that Miss Walmsley said one child slept in his costume the night before.
There were Avengers, Superman, Spiderman, Disney princesses and Frozen characters.
Girls put a spin on the masculine heroes by wearing superhero T-shirts with tutus.
“We let them make their own fun today,” Miss Walmsley said.
