The show, which premiered on Monday night, dictated Junee-born school teacher Nicole Heir marry ex-Navy serviceman Keller shortly after meeting him for the first time at the altar. 

The couple were paired after a team of “expert matchmakers” – relationship psychologist John Aiken, neuropsychotherapist Trisha Stratford and dating expert and psychologist Mel Schilling – used complex neurological information to match the show's five couples. 

By participating, Ms Heir has taken part in the country’s most high profile social experiment. 

But for the Junee native, it was a very real experience as moments of genuine emotion and affection appeared to emerge between the couple despite their highly artificial surroundings. 

Ms Heir’s marriage is not legally binding and she will live with her new partner for a period before the couple decide whether they will continue their relationship.
