Williams is returning home after winning gold as part of the rugby sevens team at the Rio Olympics.
Friends, family and eager fans will line up to get a selfie with Williams at her old school.
A civic reception at the Batlow Technology School is expected to attract hundreds of people from 4.30pm on Saturday before an official function at Sharni Williams Hall.
Williams will then travel around in an open-top car and residents are being encouraged to decorate signs.
A dinner dance at the Batlow RSL on Saturday night will be limited to the first 100 people at $20 a ticket.
