The newest offering from Bidgee Theatre Productions will hit you with its best shot as it takes you down to Paradise City.
A group of 25 local volunteer performers are bringing the best of the 1980s to the stage in Rock of Ages.
“The stage version is quite different to the movie but it’s so much about the music,” production manager Jolene Green said.
Justine Hogan, Josh McKellar and Chris Ward will play Sheree, Drew and Stacee, respectively.
The show will include almost 30 iconic rock songs, including We’re Not Gonna Take It, Waiting for a Girl Like You, Every Rose Has It’s Thorn and I Wanna Know What Love Is.
“They’re big numbers,” Mrs Green said.
“They’re really hard songs to not want to get involved in.”
Tickets go on sale on September 1 and the show opens at the Riverina Playhouse on November 4.
Tickets are available from the Civic Theatre on 6926 9688.
