Football Wagga’s thin refereeing resources were spread far and wide, leaving three first-grade men’s games under-officiated on Sunday. The association sent a centre referee and a linesman to Cootamundra, and just a centre referee to Tumut and Young, making offside calls, or a lack thereof, even more contentious.

“It’s not ideal,” Young coach Calum McCaffery said.
“Not when our game and Tumut’s game were deciding who gets into finals.”
Junee coach Isaac Cooper wasn’t impressed.
“It makes a game hard,” he said.
